Decorated Artillery Shell
A beautiful example of “trench art”, this is a 15 cm brass artillery shell, inlaid with silver and copper. The copper forms an inscription in Arabic. Markings on the base of the shell read “Patronenfabrik Karlsruhe 1917”.
