David Rose was born in Melbourne in 1936. after studies in Melbourne and Canberra he practised painting and print-making in Sydney, before traveling to Europe in 1964, where he studied etching.
He taught print-making at the National Art School and the School of Art, Alexander Mackie CAE from 1967-74. He has exhibited since 1961.
His work apears in the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, all State Galleries, the Museum of Contemporary Graphic Art, Norway, the Museum of Modern Art, New York and numerous corporate and private collections worldwide.
